StageOne™
A neutral detergent with surfactant.
STAGEONE™ is a sustainably sourced, single-use, all-in-one tray with a channel cleanser and scope sponge, designed for the initial flush and wipe of an endoscope immediately post-procedure.
Pre-treatment should be performed at point-of-use, before biofilm has an opportunity to dry and before complete decontamination.1
StageOne™
The best choice for point-of-use pre-treatment
post flexible endoscopy procedures.
Eco-friendly.
Neutral, biodegradable surfactants break down faster, reducing environmental impact compared to regular counterparts.
Room temperature.
Surfactants work at room temperature, removing the extra steps of heating water.
Fast acting.
Surfactant detergents act faster than enzymatic detergents, ideal for time-sensitive pre-treatment.
The impact of non-enzymatic versus enzymatic detergents.2
Time is limited post procedure. StageOne™ provides the means to keep blood and debris from drying on the scope with the simple addition of room temperature water to a pre-measured sachet of detergent in the provided bio-safe tray.

What is Biofilm?
Biofilm is a major contaminant of medical devices. It is drug resistant and can potentially increase the risk of Healthcare-associated Infections.
Biofilm forms when bacteria sticks to surfaces in moist environments by excreting a slimy, glue-like matrix. It inhibits the cleaning process by protecting viable bioburden if not completely removed before reprocessing.
Reducing the formation and build-up of biofilm is a significant step in the process of enhancing patient safety.
How does StageOne™ work?
A neutral detergent containing surfactants that operate independently of temperature consist of molecules that have both hydrophilic (water-attracting) and hydrophobic (water-repelling) parts. The hydrophobic end is attracted to and attaches to the biofilm, decreasing the surface tension. This allows them to lift and suspend the biofilm from the surface of the scope.
